The Qualifications Committee of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® has announced candidates for the 2018 Board of Directors.
On the ballot contains positions for WCAR President, WCAR President-Elect and WCAR Secretary/Treasurer. There are four (4) vacancies for REALTOR®, Directors each with a 3 year term.
The nominees will stand for election by a vote of the association membership. Voting begins September 13, 2017 and will culminate with the announcement of winners at the September 27th Annual Membership meeting. Click here to reserve your seat at the event.
Candidates for the 2018 Williamson County Association of REALTORS® Officers are:
Matt Daniel, Daniel-Christian Real Estate, LLC: Office of President
Matt Daniel is a 7th generation Williamson County native who has been dedicated to the real estate industry for more than 13 years. He served as Director for the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® from 2008-2010, as well as chaired the Scholarship Committee in 2005. Matt currently serves on the Government Affairs Committee and is actively involved in the Heritage Foundation. Matt lives in Franklin with his wife, Courtney, their two sons, Parker and Sawyer, and their two pet Labrador Retrievers. Matt enjoys all sports and being outdoors. When not actively working real estate, you will find Matt coaching little league baseball. Matt’s strong sense of integrity, friendly personality and laid-back approach, makes him a highly sought-after REALTOR® in Williamson and the surrounding counties.
Kyle Shults, Keller Williams Realty: Office of President-Elect
Kyle is a native to Middle Tennessee and was immersed with the real estate industry at a young age as the daughter of Melissa and Andy Clough, both of which are active Realtors and members of WCAR. While completing her undergraduate studies at Belmont and MTSU, Kyle served in an administrative role for two real estate teams. In 2012, she became a licensed agent and joined the family team at Keller Williams Realty. She has received her ABR and become a member of Luxury Home Marketing Institute. Kyle has been involved with WCAR in various capacities as YPN Committee Chair for two years, now as a Board Director at WCAR and maintained a Sterling R donation level to the Realtor Political Advocacy Committee. She lives in Franklin with her husband and several animals.
Jordan Vaughn, Re/Max Fine Homes: Office of Secretary/Treasurer
Jordan Vaughn, Broker, CNE, ABR, SRES, ePro has a true passion for the real estate industry. His family roots run deep in the new construction business and he has been licensed with RE/MAX and partnered with Mark Lonsway for the last 16 years. During that time, he has served WCAR in many capacities. He has chaired the REALTOR® Good Works Foundation twice, served on the Grievance committee, represented WCAR in Mediation and Obudsman Training, Professional Standards Committee 2016 Chair, the Bylaws Committee and the Scholarship Committee. Jordan recently returned from Mediation Training at National Association of REALTORS. Give him a task and he will make sure it gets done right and with the attention it deserves. Honesty and the ability to handle decisions head-on are just two characteristics that people have found to be true when working with Jordan. Jordan believes REALTORS® have a great opportunity to show the general public a profession with high standards in integrity, professionalism and quality in service.
Becky Anderson, Creye-Leike REALTORS®: Office of REALTOR® Director
A Realtor and member of WCAR since 2003, Becky has served on the Grievance Committee for two years, currently as co-chair. She has been a Multi-Million-dollar producer since 2004, specializing in residential real estate in Williamson and Davidson Counties. She has experience working with investors, corporate relocation, land sales, and residential sales both as a listing agent and buyer's agent. Most recently, she has gotten her SRES designation (Senior Real Estate Specialist). Becky and her husband Chris have two children and have lived in Brentwood, and been active in the community since 2000.
Christopher Close, Parks: Office of REALTOR® Director
Christopher is a native of San Diego but has called Franklin home for over two years. Getting to explore Nashville, Franklin, and the surrounding areas as a newcomer by car, and on his favorite motorcycle, has led Christopher to discovering the nuances and benefits that make each town and neighborhood unique. He is never shy to drive several hours to kayak when the river is flowing, or to make several trips a week to hear friends play in bands downtown, or take his daughter rock climbing! Prior to moving to Franklin, Christopher was an actor and home builder in Los Angeles. He loves home design and has always had a passion for homes growing up with an interior designer for a mother and then learning the craft of building homes in high school. Since then, he has built a number of high end custom homes in the Los Angeles area. He has always been able to see the creative possibilities in home projects whether starting a new build or renovating an artistic loft. Building and decorating homes is in his blood.
Christopher believes that a home should be the place that brings out the best in people and he prides himself in knowing the right home, for the right person or family, when he sees it. He would love to help you complete your goal of either identifying your next home or bringing the right buyer for the home you are in. His ability to communicate and cater to the needs of his clients puts him atop the list of desired realtors in Middle Tennessee. Christopher, along with his wife CJ and their young daughter, live in West Franklin.
Dawne Davis, Parks: Office of REALTOR® Director
Dawne Davis, a native Tennessean has held her real estate license since 2004 when she joined the PARKS firm in Brentwood. Dawne received her Brokers license in 2011, holds the CRS and GRI designations and is a Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE), taking much of her training in classes at WCAR over the years.
As a member of multiple committees, and a graduate of the 2016 WCAR Leadership Institute, Dawne has a firm grasp of the requirements and skills needed to serve effectively as a member of the Board of Directors of Williamson County Association of REALTORS. Dawne presently serves as the Chair of WCAR’s RPAC committee which has raised over $100,000 this year to champion REALTOR legislative issues at the Federal, State and Local levels. She is a Sterling R major investor and participates in the President’s Circle, whose members contribute additional funds to individual candidates who are REALTOR-allies in DC. As a member of the WCAR and TN REALTORS Governmental Affairs Committees, Dawne keeps abreast of the issues that affect our industry. She also serves as the Vice Chair of WCAR’s REALTOR Good Works Committee which contributes thousands of dollars annually to Williamson County schools and provides college scholarships.
Dawne was a member of the recent EVP Search Committee, the Nominating Committee, Professional Standards Committee, and has helped organize annual fundraiser “Bling and Bowties” since 2013. She currently is a member of the Inaugural “Celebration of Excellence” Awards Ceremony committee and WCAR’s Arbitration Committee.
After graduating from Hollins University in Virginia in 1986, Dawne spent 15 years working in political and non-profit fund-raising in Washington, DC. She is married to John Davis. They have two adult children, Elizabeth and Locke, who attend UT in Knoxville and MTSU in Murfreesboro.
Lorie Layman, Creye-Leike, Inc: Office of REALTOR® Director
A licensed REALTOR® since March 1991,is a Multi-Million Dollar Producer, served on the Greater Nashville committees for Grievance and Professional Standards and chaired the Grievance Committee for WCAR. Lorie is currently Co- Chair for Professional Standards Committee. Lorie has served on the board for the Sales and Marketing Council and also holds brokers License and CRS. Lorie volunteers with the Williamson County Animal Shelter and is married with two adult daughters and twodogs. Lorie is passionate about the real estate industry and Williamson County.
Tina Majors, Re/Max Fine Homes: Office of REALTOR® Director
I’ve always believed in giving back to my community and find this election an opportunity to continue giving back to my new real estate community. At WCAR, I was selected as an inaugural member of the WCAR Leadership Academy in 2016; served as a member of the EVP Search Committee; assisted with the Auction at Bling & Bowties 2017; and I am currently a member of the Membership Committee and a Trustee of the Good Works Foundation. I am a member of the GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club the Franklin Tomorrow Marketing Committee Franklin United Methodist Church and I'm a graduate of Leadership Franklin, class of 08-09. I’m a past board member and Board Chairman of the Wesley Foundation at Vanderbilt University. Prior to real estate, I have a long track record of working with various non-profits where I worked with committees and board members every single day. Fundraising, communications, volunteer management, donor relations, grant writing and organizing special events—these are attributes and skills that I will bring to the Board of WCAR. I have three adult children and I currently live in Spring Hill and call Re/Max Fine Homes my “real estate home”.
Charlie Peterson, Realty Trust Residential, LLC: Office of REALTOR® Director
An award-winning REALTOR and published real estate writer, Charlie has built a powerful career since winning the 2015 WCAR Rookie Of The Year award just two years ago. Nationally, he has gained popularity through his work as a Contributing Editor for INMAN NEWS where he publishes on industry trends, social media, and evolving market demands. Charlie lives in Franklin, TN, with his wife Tonya, and 2 sons: George (3) and Fitz (1). Tina Pierret, Fridrich and Clark: Office of REALTOR® Director
Tina is a Tennessee native and third generation Realtor®, possessing over 13 years of experience in the greater Nashville market. For ten years, Tina worked sales and contracts for broker/developer Tony Giarratana at the Viridian, Encore and Bennie Dillon projects in downtown Nashville and was the property manager for three upscale high-rise condominiums during Nashville’s urban revival. Her love for people, real estate and all things Nashville, coupled with her keen work ethic and zest for life make this career a natural fit.
In 2013, Tina married her ballroom dance partner and sweetheart, Mark Pierret, and stepped into the adventurous role of stepmother for his two children. They are delighted to call Franklin home and are a fixture at local festivals, running events, foodie affairs and dance venues.
